In the South End
of Boston, a client called me because the refrigerator and dishwasher she
had ordered did not fit into the kitchen she had. She asked me if I
could help. As you can see from the before pictures, the kitchen was a
standard, condominium kitchen from the 1980's. The refrigerator would
not fit because it was too wide, and the dishwasher because a new layer of
hardwood flooring had been installed after the dishwasher.

In the
pictures above, you can see the new range, and new microwave, which did fit.
You can also see the old wall paper, and the laminate countertop. The
new kitchen is of course very different, toned to match the wood furnishings
of the apartment. There is even space on the hidden side of the
refrigerator to store a fold up ladder so that the tops of the cabinets can
be reached.
